Visiting Dad at Work

We were on our way to the Library but had to take a detour because Benson had a pea sized Styrofoam ball stuck up his nose.  I was hoping there would be something at the office that Bret could use to pull it out.  Benson was very difficult and after many tears and freak outs it came out.  We were all very happy we did not have to go to see the pediatrician.

 Flaming Gorge Camping

We had so much fun when my family came to visit.  We kept really busy and packed in a bunch of fun!  We floated the local canal. Got eye exams from Dr. Butterfield. Hiked to moonshine arch in the blazing sun and through the nasty bugs. Camped next to Flaming Gorge at Antelope campground and floated around in the water. Took the Dam Tour and stopped for Drinks and treats before we headed back to Vernal for Dinner and more fun hunting frogs and enjoying each others company.  It was a really fun weekend and we were all pretty tired when it was over.  I would imagine my Dad was the most exhausted because Bradley bossed him around the whole weekend and would not leave his side.

Weekend Fun 

We don't like to stay at home on the weekends because we go a little stir crazy with each other so we have been going out all over enjoying the scenery and beautiful weather.  Flaming Gorge has so much to do all around it and we have found an awesome spot for the kids to play and for Bret to fish. They have lots of cool scenic walks and historic places to visit. We also went and checked out Pelican Lake and although it was pretty we will not be back because the shore fishing is no good. We are loving the summer days!!!

St George Trip

We had such a great time playing in St. George.  It was HOT so we did a lot of things in the mornings and afternoons and stayed inside playing games during the heat of the day.  There was good food good company, and a lot of fun.  We went to Sand Hollow and did some rock sliding and cliff jumping which was awesome. 

Randoms

We have been going to the library a lot to participate in the fun summer activities they have been doing!  Our neighbors that we play with a lot were there as well.  The boys love the shaved ice and we visit it often to enjoy the goodness and get our sugar rush.

Hogle Zoo

It is always fun to go to the Zoo especially if lots of family come along.  The kids had a lot of fun seeing all the animals.

Fantasy Canyon

Brets parents came out to help us with paving our patio, and we went out to fantasy canyon to hike around and play while they were here.  It was great to be able to see cool rock formations we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves, Earl even touched a rattlesnake.

Dallen Farewell / Memorial Day

Dallen did a great job giving his farewell talk and he is headed to San Salvador to serve his mission.

It was such a busy weekend but we had so much fun!  It is always awesome when all my siblings can be together and I enjoyed every minute being around them. 

Jarvie Ranch and Flaming Gorge

We had such a fun day exploring new places.  We toured Jarvie Ranch which was right off the Green River and was just surrounded by beautiful scenery. We had a picnic lunch there and continued on over to Flaming Gorge.  I thought we would stop and fish for maybe an hour but we ended up staying for four or more hours. The spot Bret took us to was a lot of fun. There was plenty of lizards and bunnies to chase. Bret caught lots of fish and the kids threw a bunch of rocks. We were all worn out by the time we were done. We had to be alert on the way home because of all the wildlife close to the road.
